About Dr. Shin
Born in Seoul, S. Korea, Dr. Stanley Shin moved to the United States in 1975 and grew up in Washington DC area. After finishing undergraduate program at the prestigious Georgetown University in Washington DC, he attended the University of Maryland Medical School in Baltimore, MD. Following medical school, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at Prince George’s Hospital Center in Maryland and completed his general and invasive cardiology fellowship training at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
Dr. Stanley Shin was recruited to Bulloch County in 1997 as the first cardiologist for the community where he founded Statesboro Cardiology. In 1999, he played a major role in bringing cardiac catheterization to Statesboro, GA. In 2010, he assisted in bringing interventional cardiology program to Statesboro, GA. As the Founding/ Senior partner of Statesboro Cardiology, Dr. Shin has a special interest in Cardiovascular health and Venous care.
Dr. Stanley Shin is the proud husband/father to wife, Alexis M. Shin, and two children, Claire and Elliott Shin. Dr. Shin is a world traveler and an avid reader with special interest in history and art.
